David Tod Geaslin

David Tod Geaslin, 80, of Gonzales, was born January 11, 1944 in Cleveland, TX to Tod Ireland Geaslin and Alma Aline Wells Geaslin. David married Mary Jane Lloyd on October 12, 1968 in Pensacola, FL.

David graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1962. He attended Lee College and graduated from the University of Texas in 1966. He immediately was drafted into the U.S. Marine Corp. After graduating Officers Candidate School, he was sent to flight school in Pensacola where he got his wings and orders to Vietnam. He flew Huey Gunships before being transitioned to jets. When he finished his tour, he flew the A-4, which had been his dream since being a young boy. After his service career, he and his young family moved to San Antonio where he started his business, later selling his business and began a successful consulting service in Houston.

David is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Jane Lloyd Geaslin of Gonzales, sons, Kelly Tod Geaslin of San Antonio, Kevin Dodd Geaslin (Mercedes) of Pearland, grandson, Gabriel Gonzales Geaslin of Pearland, and sister, Shirley Jean Geaslin Svoboda (J.T) of Marion. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, March 9, 2024 in the Gonzales Catholic Cemetery.  Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to the American Cancer Society or charity of one’s choice.
