Juanita Jane Baker Iley

Juanita Jane Baker Iley, 75, of Gonzales, passed away Monday, April 15, 2024. She was born in Gonzales on April 6, 1949 to Zilmon J and Florence Townsend Baker.

Juanita enjoyed tending her plants and taking care of her beloved dog Boots. She was an avid reader and had filled several Kindles with books she loved. She loved to cook and was forever making certain that everyone was fed and cared for. Juanita adored her grandchildren who called her Nanny. She was a loving and doting wife to Kenneth for nearly 52 years.

Juanita is survived by her loving family, husband, Kenneth Wayne Iley, daughter, April Michelle Iley (Bennie Lerma), grandchildren, Sara and James Jalufka, and sister, Elizabeth Ann Baker. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Brendon Wayne Iley, brother, Buford R Baker, and sisters, Evelyn Jo Pfuhl and Allie Baker Valenta.
