John George Weber, 80, of Luling, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2012.

He was born March 25, 1932, in Luling, to John Jacob Weber and Viola Mae Hanks. He married Maxine M. Wehmeyer on Dec. 22, 1951, in Seguin. He was a vacuum truck driver for the oilfield. He was a member of the American Legion, and served in the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine M. Wehmeyer Weber; daughters Sandy (Dean) Rougeou of Lulig, Marlene Metzler of Gonzales and Lana Bronikowsky of San Marcos; grandchildren Mark Metzler of Gonzales, Jimmie Lynn (Chad) Crowder of Driftwood, Shawn (Missy) Rougeou of Luling, Todd Rougeou of Luling, Stephanie (Keith) Scudday of New Braunfels and Curt (Tenille) Metzler of Burleson; and six great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral will be held Saturday, June 9, at the O’Bannon Funeral Chapel in Luling with Rev. Dayna Schmidt officiating. Burial is at Luling City Cemetery. Pallbearers are Shawn Rougeou, Todd Rougeo, Curt Metzler, Mark Metzler, John Woodard and Darrell Hendricks. Honorary pallbearers are Mason Metzler, Brynden Scudday, Carson Scudday and Quaid Crowder.
