David Smith

David Smith, 56, of Brownwood went home, to meet his Father, Friday April 10, 2009. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday April 14, 2009 at Grace Baptist Church of Early, Tx. Pastor Lynn Turnbow officiated the service. Services were under the direction of Davis-Morris Funeral Home of Brownwood, Tx., 325-646-5555.

David was born March 6, 1953, to Harvey and Lelia Smith, in Sweetwater, Texas. David started his education in Sweetwater where he attended grades 1st through 4th. He later moved to Gonzales, Texas with his family, and received his high school diploma from Gonzales High School. He proudly served his county in the United States Air Force. He married Lou Bagby on September 12, 1997. David was the owner of Smith Dental Lab of Brownwood, Texas, where he has been a resident for over 30 years. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church of Early, Texas. David loved music and sang in his band “Borderline” for 18 years. He also loved sky diving and was a certified scuba diver.

David was preceded in death by his father Harvey L. Smith

David is survived by his wife Lou Smith, three daughters; Bonnie Smith, Sissy Perkins, and Chrissy McGarrah, two sons; Mark Sears and Chris Richards, his mother Lelia Smith, his brother Roger Smith, two nieces; Kimberly Smith and Taryn Smith, and six grandchildren.

Donations may be made in David’s name to Grace Baptist Church of Early, Texas.
