Alfredo Garcia Martinez

Alfredo Garcia Martinez passed away on February 11, 2016 at the age of 69.  He was born in Gonzalez, TX on March 2, 1946 to the late Anastacio and Hilaria “Lencha” Martinez.  He graduated from Gonzales High School Class of 1966 and served in the Texas Army National Guard for 6 years and spent many years in the Commercial Printing Industry. Alfredo really enjoyed his fishing days and spending quality time with his family.

Alfredo is preceded in death by his loving wife, Paula M. Martinez.  He is survived by his children, Graciela Martinez, Patricia Martinez Lemons (Clark) and Alfredo Fidencio Martinez; grandchildren, Anthony and Bianca Alvarado, Caitlin Rice, Brian and Dustin Lemons and Dominic and Xavier Martinez; great-grandchildren, Leroy Cruz and Madilyn and Emma Rice.  Alfredo is also survived by his siblings Luz Elida Garcia (Robert), Henry Martinez (Gloria), Minnie Camarillo, Carlos Martinez (Dora) and Delia Leal (John).

The family will be receiving friends at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Rd, on Sunday, February 14, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm that same evening.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church on Monday, February 15, 2016 at 10:00 am with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
