Texas retail gas prices up

Gonzales average stays at $2.24

Across Texas gasoline prices were averaging $2.36 per gallon on Monday, according to the GasBuddy daily survey of 13,114 gas retailers in Texas.

These state-wide prices compare with the national average increase of 1.9 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.60 per gallon.

In Gonzales gas prices are holding with an average retail price of $2.24. The lowest priced gas in Gonzales is at the Texaco by Victoria College where gas is $2.17. Other local gas prices are: $2.25 at Buc-ee’s , H.E.B. and Walmart; and, $2.29 at Circle-K.

Including the change in gas prices in Texas during the past week, prices Monday were 30.3 cents per gallon higher than they were on Feb. 5, 2017; and are 11.3 cents per gallon higher than just one month ago.

The national average has increased 11.2 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 34.0 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago.

According to GasBuddy historical data, gasoline prices on February 5 in Texas have ranged widely over the last five years: $2.06 per gallon in 2017; $1.57 per gallon in 2016; $1.96 per gallon in 2015; $3.06 per gallon in 2014; and $3.36 per gallon in 2013.
