Gonzales cheer selling pink out t-shirts
The Gonzales cheerleaders began their annual pink-out fundraiser this week in an effort to raise money for unfunded women. “Fight Like An Apache” t-shirts are available for order for $15 each. All proceeds will be used to assist unfunded women with mammograms and/or breast biopsies through the Gonzales Healthcare Systems. For more information, contact Lena H. St. Paul beats Shiner High in 4 sets
Shiner St. Paul came back from break to take down Shiner High in four sets, (20-25, 27-25, 25-18, 32-30). Stats include: Trinity Garza 12 digs, two aces; Riley Johnson 16 digs, one ace; Aspen Flach 14 digs; Paige Brown one block, five digs; Hope Kapavik 31 digs; Gracey Novosad 14 kills, 23 digs, two aces; Delynn Pesek 18 kills, two blocks, one dig; Cameron Pesek two kills, three blocks, three digs; Mallory Pokluda six kills, one block, four digs; Christine Wagner five kills, three blocks, nine digs, one ace.
The junior varsity team lost in two sets, (25-12, 25-12).

Lady Mustangs downed in 4 sets
Nixon-Smiley went to 1-1 in district after losing (25-14, 23-25, 25-12, 25-11) to Yoakum. They travel to Poth on Friday before hosting Karnes City on Tuesday.

Luling start district 0-2
The Luling Lady Eagles are now 0-2 in district play after losing (25-8, 25-20, 25-22) to Karnes City. They host Stockdale on Friday, then Poth on Tuesday.

Waelder loses in straight sets
The Waelder Lady Wildcats traveled to Flatonia on Tuesday, losing to the Lady Bulldogs in three sets (25-9, 25-16, 25-10). Waelder hosts Damon on Tuesday, with a scheduled start of 5 p.m.
