Rasberry homicide still unsolved one year later

Posted

It has been nearly a year since Brandon O’Quinn Rasberry was found dead at a Nixon area RV park and the Gonzales County Sheriff’s Office and Texas Rangers are continuing to look for who may have killed the 32-year-old former Brenham resident, who had just moved to Nixon.

On Jan. 18, 2022, GCSO deputies responded to the Lazy J RV Park and Ranch, 85 Wild Meadow, Nixon, after an unresponsive male was reported at the location.

Deputies who responded to the scene determined the victim’s identity to be Brandon O’Quinn Rasberry and suspected foul play in his death. At the time of his death, Rasberry worked for Holmes Foods in Nixon, where he had been employed for about three months. Rasberry had just recently moved to the Lazy J four days before he was discovered dead in his RV, which he had just rented.

“Brandon’s family is incredibly heartbroken and just went through their first holiday season without Brandon,” GCSO said in a statement. “If you have any information on who committed the murder of Brandon Rasberry please come forward so this family can begin the healing process.”

The Texas Rangers and the Gonzales County Sheriff’s Office are seeking the public’s assistance and is needing any information related to this case.  No detail may be too small.  If you have information and wish to remain anonymous, please contact the Greater Gonzales County Crime Stoppers at (830)672-TIPS; no one will know the identity of a person who submits a tip to crime stoppers and you may be entitled to a cash award.
