Nations Fellowship hosts BBQ Cookoff in Smiley

Come out and fellowship with the Nations Christian Fellowship BBQ Cookoff in Smiley. This event is being held Saturday, April 30, on the property next to the Smiley Post Office.

The cookoff categories are brisket, pork ribs, chicken, fajitas, beans and dessert. The entry for this cook off is free.

There will be cash prizes for different categories. Brisket, ribs, fajitas, and chicken will have prizes as follows: first place takes $200 and second place wins $100; beans will be $100 for first and $50 for second; dessert are $100 for first and $50 for second with the best decorated cookoff area getting a cash prize of $50.

Cooks can set up anytime on Friday, April 29, with judging taking place Saturday, April 30. RVs are welcome at this friendly competition. The intended goal is to bring people together and have fun.
