Mustangs fall to Eagles in extra innings

The Nixon-Smiley Mustangs played their last road game of the season Tuesday, April 16 against Luling.
The Mustangs and the Eagles exchanged runs throughout the match, but in the end, Luling beat Nixon-Smiley, 8-7, in a walk-off in the bottom of the eighth.
The Mustangs dropped to 0-9 in District 26-3A and 2-13-2 on the season.
Nixon-Smiley will host Great Hearts Northern Oaks Friday, April 19 for the regular season finale.
First pitch is set for 6 p.m.
