Gonzales Shooting Team claims one state championship at Ag Clays

The Gonzales Shooting Team hit it with their best shot at the TPWD Ag Clays 381 Tournament at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio and came home with a state championship earlier this month.

The Mixed Trap Team won the gold medal and was crowned 2023 Ag Clays state champions during the competition, which was held June 5-6.

Meanwhile, the Sporting Mixed Trap Team (Coy LaBuhn, Brayden Davis, Faith Lester and Cooper LaBuhn) won silver and second place in state for Ag Clays and Faith Lester earned second place Individual Female in Trap Shooting, while the All Male Sporting Ag Clays team (Coy LaBuhn, Brayden Davis, Corbeen Wolff and Cooper LaBuhn) won third place and got the bronze.

Dalton Pape shot a combined 184 on trap and sporting and finished near the top of the HOA standings. Brayden Davis and Faith Lester each shot a combined 179. Corbeen Wolff shot a 170. Coy LaBuhn shot a 167 while Colt Robinson shot a 165.

Joelee Lester shot a 164 and Cooper LaBuhn shot a 160. Wyatt Withers shot a 156 and Matthew Mason shot a 155. Slayden Boehm shot a 152. Zane Whitehead shot a 151. Hagen Brown shot a 143. Brendon Mercer shot a 140. Dakota DuBose shot a 137.
