GISD Board to meet for housekeeping

GONZALES — Gonzales Independent School District Board of Trustees is scheduled to meet 5:30 p.m., Monday, June 12, at Gonzales Junior High School, in the Jr. High Library.

The typical housekeeping agenda calls for discussion or action on a number of routine items, such as: Reorganization of election officers; Swearing in of re-elected members; approval of Certificate of Election; and approving the county Tax Assessor-Collector to calculate the Effective Tax and Rollback Rates.

The board of trustees will also consider: award of a third-party administrator of benefits; selection of the district's energy conservation project and possibly entering into an agreement with Schneider Electric; recycling out of date textbooks; nominating a board member to TASB Board of Directors; and, sending Gonzales FFA to Indianapolis, Ind., for the National FFA Convention.
