Cole sweeps series from Mustangs in 2024

The Nixon-Smiley Mustangs went on the road to San Antonio for the series finale against Cole Cougars Friday, April 12.
The Mustangs and Cougars exchanged scores in the first three innings with Nixon-Smiley trailing, 8-7, entering the bottom of the third.
The Mustangs would struggle defensively in the bottom of the third, allowing 16 runs; Cole handed Nixon-Smiley its eighth district loss, 26-8.
The Mustangs will played their final road game against the Luling Eagles Tuesday, April 16; and will conclude the regular season with a final home match against Great Heart Northern Oaks Friday, April 19.
First pitch for the Northern Oaks is set for 6 p.m.
