Gonzales PD seeks information on burglary cases

On Monday Jan. 18 the Gonzales Police Department received three different calls in reference to burglary, burglary of a vehicle, criminal mischief and criminal trespass. The below mentioned cases happened on Saturday morning between 6-9 a.m.

This agency first responded to Texas Gas Service, located at 2003 St. Joseph Street in Gonzales in reference to a burglary. Investigators were told that when a worker arrived for work, he noticed that the gate leading to the yard was wide open. When he looked closer, he saw that the padlock that was on the gate had been cut. The approximate loss for this burglary is $5,947.

This agency responded to Gonzales County Water Supply at 1903 E Sarah Dewitt Drive in Gonzales in reference to a burglary. Officers were advised at 8 a.m. that the manager stopped and tried to secure the gate but the padlock was nowhere to be found. The gate was secured by another lock and the manager contacted a coworker. Surveillance cameras showed a black Dodge Ram single cab truck possible a 2012 model. The total amount taken from Gonzales Water Supply was $2,557.

This agency responded to Light Tower Rentals (LTR), located at 1915 Sarah Dewitt Drive in Gonzales in reference to a burglary. Four trailer tires with rims were taken from the property. The approximate value is $300.

This agency received information that this same type of vehicle was used in Lockhart, Caldwell County and Travis county theft/burglary cases during the same time period.
