Gonzales Main Street, in association with Keith and Margo's Murder Mysteries of Texas, will present "Murder in Historic Gonzales" on Saturday, Jan. 28, at the Crystal Theatre, 511 St. Lawrence Street in Gonzales.

"Mystery fans, history buffs and ghost lovers, you will not want to miss this opportunity to become a leading suspect in a homicide investigation in one of the most historic cities in Texas," said a spokesperson for Keith and Margo's Murder Mysteries of Texas. "Although set in modern times, like "CSI" and "Law and Order," the plot will relate to Gonzales' unique historical importance as "where the fight for Texas liberty began.' Brace yourself for the ultimate in audience participation: hunt for hidden evidence, interrogate suspects (professional incognito actors), tell your theories to our detective and compete for prizes."

Keith and Margo's Murder Mysteries of Texas will join forces with the benevolently haunted Crystal Theatre for an evening of murder, mystery and mayhem. Labeled as "the masterminds of the genre" and featured on "Entertainment Tonight" and "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous," this company has performed its unique brand of audience participation "whodunits" with more than 6, 000 productions worldwide from Buenos Aires to Vancouver, from Puerto Rico to Hawaii, from Alaska to Acapulco, from Hamburg to Costa Rica, from the Bahamas to Paris.

"You won't want to miss this rare opportunity to find yourself smack dab in the middle of a murder case at an historic, haunted theater and have one of the most unique experiences available anywhere in North America," their spokesperson said.

"Gonzales Main Street invites you to join us for an event 'to die for' which combines mystery, history, and fine gourmet dining," said a representative of the Gonzales Main Street program.

Tickets are on sale at City Hall. For additional information, contact Barbara Friedrich at the Main Street office at 672-2815.
