Yolanda Dominguez Anaya

Yolanda Dominguez Anaya enter into eternal rest surrounded by her family on Jan. 7, at the age of 64. She was born on Oct. 24, 1953 in Smiley, TX to Refugio and Rosa (Guerra) Dominguez. Yolanda graduated from Smiley High School in 1973. She was very involved with St. Phillip Catholic Church and the church activities.

Yolanda was preceded in death by her parents; children, Peter Anaya and Kristen Anaya; sister, Jessica Dominguez; and sister-in-law, Michele Alvarado Dominguez.

She is survived by her husband, Simon Anaya; children, Chuck Dominguez (Tishina) of Nixon, Moises Anaya (Gloria) of Los Banos, CA, John Anaya (Valerie) of Stanton, TX, Jason Anaya of Smiley, Fina Anaya of Seguin, and Mary Ann Anaya of Seguin; grandchildren, Preston, Chase, Desiree, Cenae, Calissa, Casiana Dominguez, Christian, Marcos, Destiny Anaya, Nayeli, Ariana, Kassandra, Jovanni Anaya; siblings, Ida Estrada of Houston, TX, Hector Dominguez (Ellie) of Nixon, Magdalena Diaz (Adolfo) of Houston, TX, Richard Dominguez (Mary) of Seguin, Armando Dominguez (Isabel) of Houston, TX; and Lisa Benavidez (Daniel) of Smiley; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 10, at Finch Funeral Chapel-Nixon, and a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. that same evening at the funeral home. Procession will depart the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 11.

Father Ouseph Kuriakose will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Burriola Cemetery in Smiley. Pallbearers are Chuck Dominguez, Moises Anaya, John Anaya, Jason Anaya, J.D.
