Gonzales lose 2nd district game
The Gonzales Lady Apaches lost in four sets to the Cuero Lady Gobblers. They travel to Poteet for a district game on Friday, then host Pleasanton on Tuesday.

Luling Lady Eagles best Nixon-Smiley
In a district rivalry match, the Luling Lady Eagles took down Nixon-Smiley in three sets. Nixon-Smiley has a district bye on Friday, then hosts Yoakum on Tuesday. Luling also has a district bye and will then host Karnes City on Tuesday.

St. Paul loses in three sets
Shiner St. Paul lost in three sets (29-27, 25-11, 25-15) to Victoria St. Joseph last Thursday, Sept. 13. Stats include: Paige Brown two kills; Riley Johnson nine kills, one ace; Gracey Novosad 10 kills, 20 digs, two aces; Delynn Pesek 12 kills, one block, two assists, six digs, two aces; Cameron Pesek one kill, one block; Mallory Pokluda two kills three digs; Christine Wagner one kill, 27 assists, four digs. The freshmen team lost (25-18, 25-7) and the junior varsity team lost (25-7, 25-6). Due to testing, the Lady Cardinals don’t play another game on Sept. 27 when they open district against Bulverde Bracken Christian at six p.m.
