Violet Mae Malone

Violet Mae Malone, 84, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, Oct. 21.

She was born in Luling, Texas on May 28, 1932 to Adolph Fisher and Ura McLean Fisher-Shanklin. Violet was an intelligent, generous and God loving woman. She had worked, owned and operated an H&R Block in Gonzales, Texas for 32 years before retiring. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Luling.

She is survived by her granddaughter Ashley Wendel and husband Josh, great grandson Hayden Ledesma, sister Pricie Jennings of Livingstone, Texas and many other loving relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Melvin Earl Malone, son Michael Earl Malone and daughter in law Priscilla, sister Ruby Wyckoff and two brothers Newby and Marshall Fisher.

Visitation will be at O’Bannon Funeral Home on Tuesday evening, Oct. 25 from 5-7 p.m. Graveside service will be held at Luling City Cemetery on Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 10 a.m. with Pastor Jason Kelske officiating.
