Tommie Lee Eichman

Tommie Lee Eichman, 80, of Gonzales, passed away Thursday, July 20. She was born July 27, 1936 in Gonzales the daughter of Thomas Arthur and Grace Hahn Pirkle. She loved playing the piano and in the 1950’s played with the Prince Decker band in and around Gonzales. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing and baking.

She is survived by her daughter Patricia Richard and husband James of Bastrop; son Dale E. Klein and wife Marcia of Helotes; daughter in law Karon Klein of Gonzales; grandchildren Shane Lloyd and wife Kimberly, Brian Klein, Ronald Klein Jr. and wife Wendy, Justin Klein, Erin Pearce and husband Ben, Heather Klein Schraudt and husband George and Justin Richard; seven great-grandchildren; sisters Bernice Moeller of Gonzales and Barbara Klein of LaGrange; brothers Thomas Pirkle and wife Shirley of Gonzales, Leslie Pirkle and wife Virginia of Gonzales and James Gary Pirkle and wife Janet of Angleton.

She was preceded in death by her husbands Lawrence A. Klein and Lyle Eichman; son Ronald Klein Sr., sisters Florence Hollan and Kathleen Ruddock and brother Steven “Bubba” Pirkle.

Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Sunday, July 23 at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 24 at the funeral home with Reverend Jimmy Lammers officiating. Interment will follow at the Gonzales Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements under the care and direction of Seydler-Hill Funeral Home.
