Tommie Ann Adcock Fortune

Tommie Ann Adcock Fortune, 74, passed away peacefully and went to be with her Heavenly Father on Feb. 13 after courageously fighting cancer for the past nine months. Her family is hosting a celebration of life service this Friday at Wimberley Christian Church in Wimberley Texas at 11 a.m. 

Tommie is survived by her husband, Donald Fortune of Wimberley; her daughters Cherie Denise Fortune Bartosh, Kassie Lane Fortune Hickey, Kristin Alice Fortune Park, and Trisha Carol Fortune Mora; her son-in-laws, Paul Bartosh, Craig Hickey, Joey Park, and Peter Mora; her grandchildren, Chelsea Hickey Osborn and her husband Taylor, Blake Bartosh, Josh Park, Abbe Mora, Laurel Park, Christopher Hickey, Emily Mora, and Max Mora; her mother, Alice Glover Adcock; her sister Shannah Adcock Schultz and her husband Randy; her brother Marvin Adcock and his wife Cindy; her godchildren, Elaine Fortune Vinklarek and Kevin Fortune, and their spouses; her bonus grandchildren Brinn Vinklark, Karlee Vinklark, Davis Fortune, and Demi Fortune Veazey; and numerous other nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her father Tommy Talton Adcock and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Glover.

Tommie Ann was born on Sept. 21, 1944 in Gonzales, Texas to Alice and Tommy Adcock. Tommie Ann married her high school sweetheart, Donald Fortune, on June 9, 1962. They were blessed with four wonderful daughters Cherie, Kassie, Kristin, and Trisha. Tommie then earned her favorite title of “Meme” with the birth of her first grandchild. Meme truly never met a stranger, always so willing to love and invest into the lives of so many. To see Meme forget herself as she fell in love with our Lord was a truly beautiful sight to see. Her impact and influence of those she loved so well will forever remain.

Although Tommie Ann is no longer with us, she has left a profound legacy of selfless love and service. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished by the lives of her children and grandchildren.
