Teen Action Group presents Family Movie Night

The Robert Lee Brothers Memorial Library Teen Action Group is all set to host its first Family Movie Night of 2018. The group last hosted movie nights at Halloween and again at Christmas, so keeping with a holiday theme, they will be kicking off this year’s presentations with a Valentine’s Day themed movie.

Gnomeo and Juliet will be shown at 5 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 12. The movie follows two Gnomes, Gnomeo and Juliet, from the neighboring gardens of Montague and Capulet, which are at war; but the gnomes, Gnomeo and Juliet, are in love.

According to Library Director Caroline Helms, admission is free; and moviegoers may enjoy popcorn and a drink in exchange for their non-perishable, canned good and monetary donations.

Helms said the Teen Action Group is collecting funds and food items to continue assistance to Hurricane Harvey victims and are planning a delivery to Rockport.

Robert Lee Brothers Memorial Library is located at 301 St. Joseph Street, in Gonzales.
