Storms cause outages across county

Severe thunderstorms rolled into Gonzales County Wednesday morning causing power outages to, at its peak, over 1,000 Guadalupe Valley Electric Cooperative (GVEC) customers.
The rain continued throughout day, but the weather is expected to clear up over the weekend with highs approaching 87 on Saturday and Sunday.
