St. Paul to continue on the same path

SHINER — The Cardinals have had the same mindset throughout the season and will continue it Friday night as they take on Marble Falls Faith Academy at home. Shiner St. Paul will be focused on making sure they improve as a team and continue to erase any earlier season mistakes they made including fumbles on offense, etc.

“[We] just need to try to not make a lot of mistakes,” St. Paul’s head coach Jake Wachsmuth said. “Offensively, don’t turn it over. Defensively try not to give up any big plays.”

Marble Falls offense will tout a spread formation where they have shown to run and pass equally. Defensively, they will show a split front with man-to-man coverage in the secondary.

“We’ve gotten better as far as assignments,” Wachsmuth said of his team, “not hurting ourselves on offense and defense.”

If St. Paul continues to do just that, they’ll get out of first round with a win.

Kickoff is set at 7:30 p.m.
