Apache community pep rally set

The Gonzales Apaches community pep rally has be set for Oct. 3 at Apache Field at 6 p.m. The athletic program is looking forward to great school support and designs.

Lady Apaches sweep Luling

The Gonzales Lady Apaches swept the Lady Eagles at Luling on Tuesday in non-district play (25-10, 25-16, 25-21). Gonzales will take on the Cuero Tournament this week, then travel to Flatonia on Tuesday, Aug. 27 for 6:30 p.m. non-district game. Luling will travel to San Marcos for a tournament, then travel to Pettus for a 6 p.m. non-district game on Tuesday.

Shiner St. Paul win in five

It took five sets to do so, but the Shiner St. Paul Lady Cardinals were able to knock off Flatonia (17-25, 25-23, 25-19, 16-25, 15-13) on Tuesday in a non-district game. St. Paul will participate in the Rice CISD Tournament this weekend, then host their rivals, Hallettsville Sacred Heart, with varsity set to play at 6 p.m.

Lady Comanches place fourth in tournament

The Shiner Lady Comanches placed fourth in the silver bracket of the Floresville Jaguar Classic volleyball tournament last week, placing 12th overall out of the 24 teams. Shiner travels to Cuero to compete in a tournament this weekend, then host Rice on Tuesday, Aug. 27.

Last chance for Apache football season tickets

All Apache football season tickets not picked up from last season will now be sold to the public.

The price of tickets will be $7 per game and $35 for all five home games. This year’s tickets may be picked up at the Apache Fieldhouse and tickets can be purchased from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. noon and 1-4 p.m., Monday through Friday. If you do to wish to purchase your tickets, please call Teresa Clack at 672-6641. The sale of season tickets will end at noon on Aug. 23. No season tickets can be sold after tickets go on sale at 8 a.m. Aug. 26 for the first game on Aug. 30.

‘Apache nation’ shirts to be sold at the Fieldhouse

The Gonzales Apaches athletic program are selling “Bleacher Creature” shirts with the Gonzales logo at the Fieldhouse for $5 for kids kindergarten – sixth grade. A T-shirt purchase will also get you free admission to all home games and the chance to run out the tunnel during pre-game before the football team takes the field.
