Ruth Lois Adams Korth

Ruth Lois Adams Korth, 91, of Smiley, Texas, passed away surrounded by family, Monday, Sept. 14, 2020 in Giddings, Texas. She was born May 14, 1929 in Brenham, Texas.

Ruth enjoyed crafting during the years including ceramics, floral arranging, painting, gardening, fishing, and bird watching. She was a true homemaker, always decorating and cooking. She enjoyed ringing that Dallas Cowboys bell when they made a touchdown. Most of all she loved her Blue Bell ice cream.

Ruth owned her own ceramics shop, The Adams Apple. She was a dedicated and hard worker retiring from Kenmar Group Home where she was a director.

She will be remembered as a loving wife, sister, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law; Linda and Howard Ray, son; Dennis Charles Adams, Sr., daughter; JoAnn Adams Helms, granddaughters, like daughters; Renee and husband Oscar Rios, Jenny and husband Lloyd Alexander, 18 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren, sister; Cora Lee Naumann, brother; Walter Korth, Jr, sister-in-laws; Judy Rudolf and Joyce Braune, brother-in-laws; Lloyd Adams and wife Sharon, James Adams and wife, Peggy.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Hubert Paul Adams, Sr., parents; Walter and Cora Korth, brother; Howard Korth, daughter; Janet Swonke and son-in-law Ralph Swonke, sons; Timothy Adams, David Adams and Hubert Paul Adams Jr, granddaughters; Jo Lynn Queener and Shannon Beal, great grandson Colby Kelton.

There will be a visitation on Wednesday Sept. 23, 2020 at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Smiley, with a funeral service following at 11 a.m. Interment will be at 3 p.m. at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
