Ronnie was 49 years 4 months and 16 days at the time of his journey. Ronnie accepted Christ as his Savior at the age of 34 and grew up, as a child, attending Gonzales Full Gospel Church, and then Two Rivers Bible Church in Gonzales, Texas as an adult.

Ronnie labored diligently as a diesel mechanic, utilizing the abilities learned during his childhood. Ronnie began working at the age of 7, picking up shop rags and sweeping the garage that was owned by his uncles, Winston and Delton Davis. Ronnie had many gifts, and the determination to complete each and every task with meticulous attention to detail and quality. Ronnie was a man of many talents, not only was he a workhorse day to day in his profession, but he was also highly skilled in many other fields.

Ronnie enjoyed tractor pulling, hunting, and fishing, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family. He loved to go camping and looked for any opportunity to light a BBQ grill, and prepare some mouthwatering brisket, pork steaks, roasted corn on the cob, or his specialty, slow smoked ribs. Ronnie also took great pleasure in gobbling up his own cooking! Ronnie was a giving and caring person to all who knew him, even in death, he gave of himself, the beautiful life giving gift of organ donation and science research.

Ronnie was survived by his wife, Tobi Davis, whom he met in 2013, and their son Hunter Landon Davis. He is also survived by sons Matthew Fortenberry, Tyler Williams and John Wistl. Ronnie is survived by his loving sister and brother-in-law “Gaga”, Charlotte and Larry Masek, his lifelong friend and brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Lisa Davis. He was loved by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandchildren, as well as numerous acquaintances, for he never met a stranger.
