Robert Mitchell Crisp, 58, of Kingsbury, passed away on May 26, 2018. Graveside services and interment will be held at 10 a.m. at the Nixon Cemetery in Nixon on Tuesday, June 5 with Pastor Alex DelToro officiating. A memorial service celebrating Mitchell’s life will be held and announced at a later date when his sons are able to attend. 

Mitchell was born on March 11, 1960 in Nixon to Matthew James Crisp, Sr. and Velma Frances Furlong Crisp. He was a proud graduate of the Nixon High School Class of 1978 and will be remembered as the class valedictorian. 

Mitchell was an active member of the Triple Tree Church of God Seventh Day where he served faithfully as a board member and as a lay preacher, joyfully serving wherever needed. He enjoyed farming and ranching and was a contractor by trade. His most precious times were spent with his family and friends. 

He is preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his loving wife of 27 years, Laura Crisp; sons, Jeff Joslyn and fiancé Kayley Jones, Joseph “Joey” Joslyn, and Thomas “Tommy” Crisp; mother, Velma “Midge” Crisp; siblings, Velma Ann Bullard and husband Bobby, Matthew James “Buzz” Crisp, Jr. and wife Sopheak, Priscilla Bissett and husband Tom, Dudley Crisp and wife Barbara Jean, and Barbara Fox; aunt, Helen Franklin; father-in-law, Lee Joslyn; sister-in-law, Cindy Joslyn; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving family members and many friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Joslyn, Bobby “Butch” Bullard, Bryon Bullard, Jonathan Bullard, James Tucker Crisp, Matthew James Crisp, III, Joshua Crisp, Michael Crisp, and Aaron Fox.
