Prom committee cooking up various fundraisers

GONZALES — The Gonzales High School Prom Committee is pulling out all the shots, pots, and pans, and preparing to cook up a fundraising plates-to-go dinner fit for a King — or a Prom Queen.

Committee chefs have decided on a menu of chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, a roll and southern-style peach cobbler.

Dinners may be picked up from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., on Thursday, Feb. 8, at the GHS Cafeteria.

Tickets may be purchased for $9 at the GHS Front Office or through any Prom Committee member or sponsor.

The Prom Committee is looking to raise $10,000 to make the GHS 2018 Prom a night to remember, as well as a safe and good time for the celebrating students. Currently the committee has several fundraisers going, including a portable potty planted in yards across the city and a Valentine’s Day Balloon and Stuffed Animal Sale.

For more information on the plates-to-go dinner, or to purchase tickets, call Samantha Garcia at 830-857-0427.

Nothing says, “I love you” quite like a Valentine’s Day delivery. Whether its candy, flowers, or a singing telegram, one is always happy - and maybe a little shocked - upon learning the surprise is in fact theirs. Who doesn’t love a surprise?

Back by popular demand, the Gonzales High School Jr. Prom Committee’s Annual Valentine’s Fundraiser is under way. Take this opportunity to surprise your loved ones with Valentine’s Day-themed balloons and/or stuffed animals, delivered to their GISD school campus or place of business (inside the city limits).

The balloons and stuffed animals are $3.50 and mix or match. Orders are due by Friday, Feb. 2 and may be placed with order forms available in the GHS Front Office or through committee member and sponsors. Deliveries will be made on Valentines’ Day.

For more information on the Valentine’s Day Fundraiser, or to place an order, please call Brandy Hall at 830-857-4464, or Misty Kuntschik at 830-263-0473.
