Primary Elections: Voters Wanted

Polls are open for state-wide and Gonzales County primary elections, today, Tuesday, March 6.
Registered voters may cast ballots at their designated polling precinct. Polls close at 7 p.m.
Voting locations are:

  • Pct. 1 – Gonzales County Courthouse, 414 St. Joseph Street
  • Pct. 2 – Gonzales Master Gardeners Building, 623 N. Fair St
  • Pct. 3 – City of Gonzales, 820 St. Joseph Street
  • Pct. 4 and Pct. 6 – Gonzales County Nixon Annex, 603 E. Central 
  • Pct. 5 – Belmont Community Center, 14335 Hwy 90A W.
  • Pct. 7 – Texas Elks Childrens Hospital (Ottine), 1963 FM 1586
  • Pct. 8 – Harwood Community Center, 101 CR 230 N.
  • Pct. 9 – Waelder Community Center, 311 Hwy 90 W.

Early voting ran from Tuesday, Feb. 20 through Friday, March 2. In this time period 945 voters cast their ballots. Republican voters cast 809 votes in the Republican Primary and 136 votes were cast in the Democratic Primary. These numbers reflect a turnout of 6.75 percent of registered republicans and 1.15 percent of registered democrats.
