A special prayer gathering was held Tuesday evening in the parking lot of Gonzales High School Tuesday evening to pray for racial unity and for law enforcement. The event was hosted by the Gonzales Ministerial Alliance and was attended by approximately 100 people, some of whom stayed in their cars and others who sat in lawn chairs next to their cars to help maintain social distancing to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Musicians led the crowd in songs and prayers were offered by several pastors, Mayor Connie Kacir, and police investigator Jason Montoya.
