Pablo Ramos Jr. went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 12 at his home in Gonzales, Texas.

Pablo was born on Aug. 13, 1964 in Gonzales, Texas to Monico (Pablo) Ramos and Marie Guevara Ramos. In 1991 he married Patricia West, and to this union, two children were born. Chelsey Ramos (Joshua Smith) and Brandon Ramos. Also, he has a daughter, Dawn Riojas.

Pablo lived a great life; he left school in the 11th grade to go in the National Guard where he did basic training at Fort Benning, Ga. Some of his best days would be riding on horseback when he worked for Nolan Ryan, attending his cattle and ranch work. If Pablo was horseback riding, you could always find a smile on his face. Spending time fishing with his children, reeling in some big ole catfish. Taking his kids to playdays and them the love of horsemanship just like him. Hog hunting, he loved to slaughter some pigs, but pigs aren’t the only thing Pablo would hunt for. He loved going hunting, sitting in the deer stand by himself or with his children right next to him. Pablo had a wild heart and gentle soul. He was loved by many and will be missed greatly.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his parents, three children, four brothers; Albert Ramos; wife Kamil, John David Ramos; wife Kimberly, Danny, wife Raina, and Michael, three sisters; Linda Petrek, husband Rodney, Diana Vargas, husband Javier and Beverley Ramos. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Baylea Smith, Anthony Otto, Abigail Otto and Aniesty Flores. And numerous, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, Feb. 21. A rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m., followed by a mass service at 10 a.m. Both will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 426 St. John Street, Gonzales.

Family will accept visitors following services at Sacred Heart for a meal and gathering to tell stories and memories about Pablo Jr.
