GONZALES — Gonzales Regional Children’s Advocacy Center, more commonly known as Norma’s House, is looking for sponsors for the center’s annual Bingo, Bags and Badges fundraiser.

At Bingo, Bags and Badges, guests will play BINGO for purses, or other “bling” and these prizes will be “modeled” by area first responders.

If you are not in the market for a handbag, in addition to games and prizes a silent auction will feature items that will appeal to women and men alike.

The event, slated for the night of Friday, March 23, is designed to raise funds for the advocacy of children and families in Gonzales County, Lavaca County and surrounding areas.

To get the party started Norma’s House is looking for sponsors. Sponsors may purchase an entire table for $400.

Donations of cash, for purchase of supplies, as well as, donations of purses and jewelry for the games are needed. The center is also looking for silent auction items, bottled water and door prizes.

According to Executive Director Ann Alexander, Norma’s House is one of 70 Children’s Advocacy Centers in Texas, where children and families affected by sexual and physical abuse may go for help and Hope.

“They come to tell their stories and receive services to start them on the road to recovery and justice,” Alexander said.

During the BBB event snacks and water will be provided at no charge. A cash bar will be open during the games.

Tickets are $30 in advance and $40 at the door. Additional cards may be purchased at the door for $20.

Tickets are available at Norma’s House, located at 1604 St. Paul Street.
