Nettie Bernice Hahn

Nettie Bernice Hahn, 89, of Gonzales, passed away Saturday, May 11. She was born Feb. 16, 1930 in Dewville, Texas, the daughter of Ted Alvin Cowey and Nettie Ellen Click Cowey. She married Wilton Ervin Hahn on February 22, 1947 in Gonzales. She was a homemaker and a member of the Tabernacle of Witness Church of God. She enjoyed puzzles and Word Find. She was an avid Elvis fan and loved all of his music. Most of all she was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughters: Carolyn Ann Jeffcoat of Leander, Shirley Benningfield of Rockport and Pamela White of Gonzales; sons: Delton Hahn and wife Donna of Round Rock and Ronnie Hahn and wife Dawn of Leander; brother Teddie Cowey and wife Kathy of Seguin; 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Clyde Alvin Cowey, sisters Carolyn Marie Hill and Evelyn LaNell Miller. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, May 16. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 17 at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Dewville Cemetery. Pallbearers include: Kenneth Jeffcoat, Russel Jeffcoat, Scott Cowey, Justin Hahn, Patrick Hahn and Gabriel Hahn. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Seydler-Hill Funeral Home, Gonzales.
