Nannie Belle Nethery Glasco

Nannie Belle Nethery Glasco, 94, passed away June 1, 2016 at her home in Smiley. She was born Feb. 9, 1922 in Gonzales to James Oliver and Dru Ella Bowers Nethery. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Void William Glasco on July 17, 2015; son, William Glasco; brothers, Clyde and Glen Nethery; sisters, Mae Damon and Myrtle Nowlin; and grandchild, Bonnie Lee Glasco. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Talley and husband Lynn of Seguin, Margaret Teasdale and husband John of Austin, Kathy Whitehead and husband Roy of Smiley and Shirley Jahnsen and husband Henry of Seguin; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Jolene Leazer of Gonzales; daughter-in-law, Evelyn Glasco of Smiley; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as other loving family and many friends. 

A visitation will be held Saturday, June 4 from 5 – 7 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Smiley. A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 5 at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Smiley with the Rev.
