More beer vendors and food vendors added to festival

Plans continue to gel for the Gonzales Inquirer’s second annual Come and Taste It Craft Beer and Wine Festival, as more breweries and vendors have committed to the event.

CaraCara Brewing out of Lockhart and BS Brewing out of Seguin are the latest two Texas micro-breweries to commit to this year’s festival.

In addition, Majek Vineyards and Winery in Moravia will be the premiere wine presented at this year’s wine festival. Representatives from the winery will be on hand both nights to pour and talk about the wines from this up-and-coming vineyard located just a few miles east of Moravia.

The musical entertainment for the weekend has been wrapped up, with local talent Gabe Garrardo opening up the Come and Taste It VIP night sponsored by Kenneth Stewart Trucking. As VIP guests sample the wares of some of Gonzales’ best food — Baker Boys BBQ, Sweet B’s, Kitchen Pride cooking team and the Running M in the Something More Media beer tent — plenty of wine and all of the Shiner line of beers will be available free of charge to patrons with the exclusive VIP pass. These passes are limited and attendees are strongly encouraged to get theirs as soon as possible. For more information, contact the Gonzales Inquirer office at 830-672-2861 or email terry.fitzwater@gonzalesinquirer.com. Gabe Gallardo is being sponsored by Mi Academy.

On Saturday, things get going at 1 p.m. as local saxophone legend O.S. Grant opens up to play. All of the beer vendors will be available in the beer tent, while festival souvenirs and wine will be served in the adjacent Flare Energy Services Wine Tent. Following O.S. Grant to the stage will be Austin recording artist Bethany Becker and her band, then the Oliver White Group out of Houston, with the Hot Attacks out of Victoria the headliner for Saturday night.

Food trucks will be available in the festival compound, while corn hole and a dominoes table will be set out in the outdoor courtyard.

For ticket and event information, call the Inquirer office at 830-672-2861 or email the publisher and event organizer at terry.fitzwater@gonzalesinquirer.com.
