Mildred Rose Roeber

Mildred Rose Roeber, 97, of Gonzales, passed away Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020.  Mildred was born August 22, 1923 in Gonzales County to Louis Zella and Stacie Petras Zella. She married Raymond Philip Roeber on Oct. 22, 1942 in the First Lutheran Church Parsonage. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church. 

Mildred was a very talented seamstress and enjoyed preparing meals for her family. She volunteered with the Gonzales Memorial Hospital and gave over 3500 hours of her time to help others. She was a very proud and loving grandmother.

Mildred is survived by her son; Philip Raymond Roeber of Gonzales, granddaughters; Kelli Roeber of Austin, Presley Lundin (Lee) of Georgetown, great-grandchild; Brylie Ericson of Georgetown, brothers; Robert Zella, Raymond Zella (Leona), Carl Zella (Delores), August Zella, and Kenneth Zella, all from Gonzales, sister-in-law; Betty Roeber of Monahans and former daughter-in-law; Pam Petterson of Austin. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sisters; Elsie Spitzenberger, and Mary Sofka, brothers; Adolph Zella, Melvin Zella, Joseph Zella, and Edwin Zella. 

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 25, 2020 in Seydler-Hill Funeral Home. Funerals services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 25, 2020 in Seydler-Hill Funeral Home with Pastor Ildiko Rigney officiating.  Interment will follow in Hermann Sons Cemetery. Pallbearers: Robert Roeber, Doug Roeber, Barry Miller, Charles Zella, Raymie Zella, and Randy Zella.  Memorials may be made to the First Lutheran Church. 

Due to current CDC, State and local mandates, protective measures regarding social distancing, limited attendance capacity, and use of personal protective masks will be required for the visitation, chapel service and graveside burial rite.  Those remotely symptomatic of COVID-19 are politely asked not to attend.  Services are under the care and direction of Seydler-Hill Funeral Home.
