Lady Mustangs in search of district win

Lady Mustangs were dropped in three innings, losing 16-1 against the Luling Lady Eagles on Friday, March 9.

Kiara Andrada took to the mound, pitching one inning. She gave up one hit while walking six batters and giving up six runs, four of which were earned. Meghan Garcia then came in, pitching 1.1 innings, giving up three hits and five walks, while allowing 10 runs, five of which were earned. The Lady Mustangs fielders combined for four errors.

At the plate, Olivia Colon went 1-for-1 with a triple and a run. Sidney Alvarez came away with the RBI. Garcia was the other hitter, going 1-for-2 from the plate.

Stockdale 26, Nixon-Smiley 4

Nixon-Smiley gave up 20 runs in the first inning of their 22-run, three-inning loss against Stockdale on Monday, March 12.

Meghan Garcia took the loss, walking seven batters, giving up two hits, 11 runs, eight of which were earned. Kaytlin Tschoepe came in to relief, pitching three innings, striking out two batters while giving up five hits, five walks, 15 runs, 10 of which were earned. 

Chaelee Mejia went 1-for-2 while Sidney Alvarez went 1-for-2 with an RBI.

Yoakum 20, Nixon-Smiley 4

The Lady Mustangs were knocked off on the road, losing 20-4 to Yoakum on Tuesday, March 13.

Meghan Garcia took the loss, pitching two innings, giving up 12 hits, eight walks, 20 runs, 13 earned.

Yesenia Limon was the lone hitter, going 1-for-2 with an RBI.
