Lady Apache lifter headed to state

The Gonzales Apaches powerlifting program will have a representative at the state meet later this month after senior lifter Sydney Lack placed first in her weight class in the regional meet last Friday.
Clack lifted 350 pounds in squat, 190 pounds in bench press and 325 pounds in the dead lift to total to 865 pounds, good for first place in the 259-plus weight division. She outlifted Kingsville King’s Kianna Tamariz who placed second with a total of 750 pounds.
Also competing at the regional meet was Graycee Gonzales who finished fifth place in the 181-pound weight class. Her lifts were 345-155-300 to total 800 pounds. Trinity Aguero finished ninth in the 220-pound weight class, lifting 315-145-315 to total 775 pounds.
Clack is set to compete in Waco at the state meet on March 20.
