Juana Zertuche

Juana Zertuche, 83, of Gonzales, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018. She was born May 13, 1935 in Cameron, Nuevo Leon, Mexico the daughter of Juan and Elena Molina Zertuche. She was a homemaker and worked in the housekeeping department of Gonzales Memorial Hospital for 15 years. 

She was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  She was a member of the Guadalupana Society, the A.C.T.S. Retreat Group and Santo Nombre.  She was a wonderful seamstress, excellent cook and enjoyed babysitting her beloved grandchildren. 

She is survived by her daughters, Maria Herlinda “Linda” Bazan and husband Gerald, Carmen Alicia Rivera and husband Ricky, Rosa Elena Beltran, Rita Dolores Velasquez and husband Lupe, Dora Leticia Gomez and Maria Luisa “Marylou” Jaramillo and husband Jesus; sons, Carlos Angel Camarillo and wife Veronica Sue, Andres Adolfo “Andy” Camarillo and wife Isabelle Maria, Jose Alfredo “Freddy” Camarillo and wife Yvette and Juan Cristobal “John” Camarillo; sisters, Teresa Deleon, Elvira Luera, Carmen Olmos, Maria Luisa Colunga, Guadalupe Martinez, Rose Rodriguez and Frances Hardaway; brother, Juan Antonio Zertuche; 26 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Juan Camarillo. 

Visitation was held Sunday, Oct. 21 at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home. Rosary was recited 7 p.m. Sunday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass of the resurrection was celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Reverend Paul Raaz officiating. Interment followed at St. James Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Daniel Thomas Rivera, Joshua Matthew Camarillo, Andres Adolfo Camarillo II, Adrian Michael Jaramillo, Christopher Joseph Velasquez and Juan Gilberto Beltran.
