Joshua Lee Michael Leopold

On Thursday, March 1, Joshua Lee Michael Leopold passed away at the age of 32. He was the husband of Erica Lizette Leopold, father of Avery Lane Leopold and Annabelle Leann Leopold. Josh and Erica married on April 14, 2012, and shared 10 beautiful years together.

Joshua was born on Jan. 21, 1986 to Kenneth and Dottie Leopold. He attended and graduated from Hallettsville High School in 2004, then went on to graduate from the Victoria Police Academy in 2007. He started his law enforcement career at Gonzales County Sheriff's Office as a Deputy. He served Gonzales County Sheriff's Office for three years as a Patrol Deputy then Patrol Sergeant before transferring to Hays County Sheriff's Office where he served for six years as a Deputy. He continued his law enforcement career by returning to Gonzales County Sheriff's Office in 2017 as Sergeant of the Criminal Investigation Division.

Joshua will always be remembered for his sense of humor, love for his family, children, and wife. He was a devoted husband, brother, and son. Joshua was always willing to help those in need and protect his loved ones. He enjoyed playing video games with his children. He loved all outdoor activities especially hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his family and friends such as throwing BBQ's for everyone to get together.

He is survived by his wife, Erica Leopold, and their two children Avery and Annabelle Leopold; parents Kenneth and Dottie Leopold; his sisters, Haley Leopold and fiancé Corey Almaguer and Tara Leopold and boyfriend Ryan Parker.

Memorial services will be held Sunday March 11, at the JB Wells Expo Center in Gonzales, TX. Visitation with the family will begin at noon with the service beginning promptly at 1p.m. In lieu of flowers or gifts, monetary donations for the family may be offered at Gonzales County Sheriff's Office or at the memorial service.
