Jerry Wayne Fogle Sr., age 62, of McQueeney, Texas gained his angel wings on Thursday, Aug. 30. He was born in Waelder, Texas, on July 2, 1956 to the late Alvis and Dollie (Martin) Fogle. Jerry enjoyed entering bar-be-que cook-offs, and won several championships along the way. He loved to fish and hunt, and spent most of his time out outdoors. He lived life to the fullest, and enjoyed spending time with all his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He never met a stranger, and he loved socializing and making new friends. He will defiantly be missed by many.
Jerry was proceeded in death by his parents, and a brother, Jimmy Fogle.
He is survived by his loving and caring wife of 42 years, Deborah (Brashears) Fogle of McQueeney; daughter, Melissa (Fogle) Basquez, and husband Chad of Gonzales; son, J.W. Fogle, and wife Tabitha (Edwards) of Pleasanton; two step-grandchildren, Dustin Basquez of Gonzales, Neally Basquez and Joseph Herrera of Yoakum; grandson, Garrett Wayne Basquez of Gonzales, granddaughters Brynlee Haven and Addison Marie Fogle of Pleasanton. He is also survived by a brother, Johnnie Fogle, and wife Debbie of Gonzales; sister, Peggy (Fogle) White, and husband James of Harwood; sister Patsy (Fogle) Salazar, and husband Louis of Flatonia; brother, Jack Fogle, and wife Sandy of LaGrange; sister-in-law, Sara Fogle of Gonzales; brother-in-law, Lester Brashears, and wife Melba of Luling; sister-in-law, Joy Brashears and the late Terry Brashears of Kingsbury. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, and a host of friends that he loved dearly. Jerry had two very special pups, Buddy and Kizzy Jo he loved unconditionally.
Jerry's memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Waelder, Texas on Saturday, Sept. 15 at 10 a.m. This Legend will live on in our hearts forever!
