Health care

We have just gone through another attempt to eliminate the ACA passed by Democrats many years ago. The repeal of ACA and Replace with a Trump promised health care bill was not good enough to get even the Republicans in the House and Senate on board to vote for their own bill. After such a failure it seems that we have a congress that is incapable of looking at a problem and solving it instead of just voting to be sure they are going to be re-elected to their job. What we need is to look at other countries that have health care for all their citizens and pay for it with a tax on all their citizens. It does not rely on insurance companies, it does not rely on employers, it just uses the tax dollars that they collect to cover the cost of providing health care.

Some may call it Socialized medicine but the facts are that their citizens are treated for health problems and they do it for far less cost than what we all pay for insurance premiums. When is Congress going to look at the problem and solve it instead of just bickering on who is going to get credit. The ACA was a bad bill since it did not address the problem it only appeased the insurance industry. Did anyone ever look at how much insurances rake off the top before any sign of treatment is done? Executive pay is in the multi millions of dollars, large buildings to house administrators of insurance, equipment to do the administration, and thousands of people to come up with ways to not pay for treatments.

We are all paying a tax in some form, we call it premiums for insurance and supplemental for those of us who are on Medicare. Call and or write your people in Congress and demand that we have Universal Health Care. Take the insurance companies out of health care and relieve employers of the burden of trying to provide health insurance for their employees.
