Gregory Kimball Raley, 59, of San Antonio, passed away Saturday, Nov. 25. Greg was born August 4, 1958 in Bellville, Texas to Ray Lee Raley Sr. and Iris Anna Christian Raley. Greg graduated from Gonzales High School with the Class of 1976 and graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He had worked for the City of Gonzales and Astrobar Drilling and Mud Company before moving to San Antonio to manage the family’s drug stores there. Greg had been a member of the Bellville First Baptist Church.

Greg loved art and music; he was a multitalented artist and an accomplished pianist. He had an eye for designing his own flower arrangements and a magnificent gift in home décor. Greg enjoyed traveling with friends and scuba diving pristine ocean waters. He adored his family and many friends to whom he remained faithful and kept close all of his life.

Gregory Kimball Raley is survived by his loving family, parents, John and Iris Anna Mohrmann of Gonzales, brother and sister-in-law, Ray Lee Raley Jr., and Sharon of Gonzales, sisters, Linda Blackwell Gonzales of Beaumont, and Misty Raley of Tulsa, Ok., nephew, Ray Lee Raley, III and his wife Angelica of Gonzales, niece, Allison Raley of Gonzales, step-sisters, Rita Brahy and her husband Ray of New Braunfels and Andrea Moody of Sugarland. Greg was preceded in death by his father.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Gonzales with Rev. Forrest Hamilton officiating.
