Gonzales Junior High starts volleyball season

8th Grade volleyball takes down Pleasanton
Gonzales 8B team beat Pleasanton in three sets on Monday, Sept. 10. They won the first set 25-18. Lost the next with a close score of 25-20. Then fought back to win set three 25-21. Top scorers were Anahi Cordona, Amaya Rodriguez, Kylee Watson, Ivanna Vazquez, and Rylee Echols.
Gonzales 8A team also beat Pleasanton. They got it done in two sets. The scores were 25-20 and 25-19. Top scorers were Ashlee Jalufka, Carlee Ramos, and McKenzie Hodges.
Both teams are now 1-1.

Gonzales 7B sweeps Pleasanton
On Monday, Sept. 10, the Gonzales Lady Apache 7th Grade B Team defeated Pleasanton in two sets, (25-16, 26-24). Top scorers were Jamiya Eleby, Kynleigh Schroeder, Bella Guerra and Niyahna Lowery. 7th Grade B Team is now 2-0.

Gonzales 7A wins in 2
On Monday, Sept. 10, the Gonzales 7A team defeated Pleasanton in two sets. The scores for the game were 25-11 and 25-7. The top scorers were Macy Sample and Tara Lester. The team is now 1-1. The team did exceptional and the coaches are very proud of our girls for their competitive performance.

Gonzales 8th grade loses to La Vernia
Gonzales 8th grade B team lost to LaVernia in three sets, (25-19, 21-25, 25-14). Key scorers of the game were Rylee Echols, Anahi Cordona, Ivanna Vasquez and Amaya Rodriguez. Player of the game was Dakota Mammarella, who did an amazing job on the net with several hits. The team started their season 0-1.
Gonzales 8th grade A team lost to LaVernia in three sets. They had an outstanding first set, the score was 25-18 Gonzales. LaVernia came back to win the next two sets 6-25 and 12-25. Top scorers for Gonzales were Belen Leon, Carlee Ramos, McKenzie Hodges, and Ashlee Jalufka. Player of the game was Carlee Ramos, for her great set and serves, as well as her hustle and leadership on the court. The team started their season 0-1.

Gonzales 7A loses in two sets
Gonzales 7A team lost in two sets to La Vernia, (25-17, 25-13). The top scorers include; Macy Sample with 10 points, Christie Reyna, Tara Lester and Paisley Ploeger with five points each. The team is now 0-1. The team did well and we coaches are very proud of our girls for their competitive performance.
