Gonzales ISD focused on giving back, spreading kindness

GONZALES — Gonzales ISD campuses will be coming together to provide aid to Refugio Independent School District, which was affected by the devastation of Hurricane Harvey.
Campus principals visited with their faculty and staff and a survey was put out district wide. Refugio ISD received the majority of votes. This relief effort is an incredible opportunity to both give back to those that are in need and to continue to teach our students how to help those that are less fortunate.
Please join the campuses in spreading kindness and compassion to our friends and neighbors in Refugio ISD who need a helping hand. The following list details items that will be collected at each campus from now through Friday, Sept. 29:
Gonzales High School

  • Folders with pockets and brads
  • Highlighters
  • Spiral notebooks

Gonzales Junior High School

  • Composition books
  • Scissors
  • Kleenex Boxes

North Avenue Intermediate

  • Map Colors
  • Notebook Paper
  • Rulers

Gonzales Elementary

  • Red, Blue, and Black Pens
  • Pencils

East Avenue Primary

  • Glue Sticks
  • Post It Notes

Gonzales Primary Academy

  • Crayola Crayons
  • Glue Sticks

It will help greatly for audit purposes if you will include a note with your donation stating your name, phone number, and a brief description of the items donated.
