Glen Woody Martin

Glen Woody Martin passed away peacefully at his home on Jan. 10 at the age of 56. He was born in Gonzales at Crews Hospital on March 22, 1961. He attended Gonzales High School.
As a young man, he enjoyed fishing and working with rescue animals. Glen worked in the oilfield and as a carpenter using his jack-of-all-trades abilities.
He was married to Betty Sue Martin.
He was preceded in death by his father Dred W. Martin Jr. and his mother Margaret Elaine Spahn Martin Rose.
He was survived in death by his wife Betty Sue Martin, his daughter Laura M. Martin, granddaughter Lilah A. Floch, brothers Dred W. Martin III, sisters Teresa A. Washichek, Penny Christian and Dawn E. Oliver.
A family and friends service will be held on Friday, Feb. 2, at 4 p.m. at the VFW Hall at 3302 Harwood Road, Gonzales, Texas. Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews Fred Washichek Jr., John Peterek and Eric Aldis, Justin Aldis.
