Gladys Elizabeth Mudd

Gladys Elizabeth Mudd of Rosenberg, Texas passed into the arms of her Savior on March 4. She was born on June 16, 1914 in Gonzales County, Texas. She moved to Rosenberg in 1981 after the death of her husband to be closer to her children.

Gladys was a devoted Christian and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Rosenberg, Texas for 36 years. She served as Bed Baby Sunday School teacher for 19 years and was also a charter member of the Golden Heirs Senior Adult Choir.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Lena Mudd, her husband, Louis Oscar Mudd, two daughters, Dorothy Peters and Thelma Marsalia, five brothers, Clarence, Hershel, Deo, Delmer and Alvin Mudd.

She is survived by a sister, Wanda Rossow, brother, Leon Mudd, son, Douglas Mudd and wife Evelyn, two daughters, Virginia Stuessy and husband Dean, Barbara Rebecek and husband Joe. Seven grandchildren: Jim Peters and wife Doreen, Debra Wehr and husband Bill, Kevin Stuessy, Dena Rebecek, Charnell Peoples and husband Patrick, Shana Nesvadba and husband Brian, Justin Marsalia, fourteen great grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are her great grandsons: Casey Wehr, Chase Wehr, Connor Wehr, John Heiman, Austin Heiman and Clay Nesvabda.

Visitation will be Friday, March 10 from 9-10 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 4111 Airport Rd., Rosenberg, Texas 77471. Services will be at 10 a.m. Reception will follow at Calvary Baptist Church Family Life Center.

Interment will be at 3 p.m. at Gonzales City Cemetery, 1100 North College St., Gonzales, Texas 78629.

The family request in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Golden Heirs Choir at Calvary Baptist Church or charity of your choice.

She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
