Fifteen new cases of COVID-19 reported Wednesday

As of Wednesday evening, data from the Department of State Health Services distributed by Gonzales County Judge Patrick C. Davis shows the county reported 15 new cases of COVID-19.

One additional death has also been reported in the county, according to the report. The total number of estimated active cases in the county has decreased to 37, and the estimated number of recovered cases has increased to 621. Including the total of seven deaths in the county, the total number of active and recovered cases as well as fatalities, there have been 665 cases of coronavirus in the county. This is roughly 3% of the county’s overall population.

Hospitalizations have decreased in Trauma Service Area P, which fell to 1035 from 1089 on Tuesday. Of these, 644 were in general beds, while 378 are in Intensive Care Unit beds, according to DSHS data.
