Edwards Association seeks sponsors for MLK Celebration

The 2018 Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration is scheduled for Monday, January 15. The theme of this year's celebration is Sharing the Dream – moving forward as a nation in unity, without regards to race, wealth or past history.

As in years past, there will be a march from downtown Gonzales to the Edwards Community Center, followed by a program on the life of Dr. King featuring local students and church groups, then ending with the annual Love and Unity Community Luncheon.

Sponsorship for the event is $100. Sponsorships and all other tax-deductible donations may be sent to Edwards Association MLK Day Celebration, P.O. Box 1823, Gonzales, Texas 78629.

As a fundraiser for the event The Edwards Association is also selling Dr. Martin Luther King "I have a Dream" T-shirts. The shirts are available in a variety of colors: yellow, light blue, green, lavender and Ice Gray. Sizes range from X-Small to 2X for $15 and 3XL to 5XL for $20.
