Donation of a new motorized stretcher to GCEMS-R

Posted

I was raised by my grandparents in Aberdeen, Md., and we visited people in nursing homes and hospitals so naturally, I did the same with Don, driving the children and I during most of our almost 60 years of married life, before he died Jan. 23, 2019. Our good friends Buster Lindemann, who was in EMS at one time, and Gladys, who was a member of the Gonzales Hospital Auxiliary, remembered those in nursing homes and hospitals also.

And Gonzales County EMS Jennifer and Tony, who answered my medical call for Don, Jan. 23, are, along with Buster, Gladys and Don, remembered by me as I make this gift, a motorized stretcher so that those who are carried on it will be more comfortable and those EMS who carry them will find it easier to do so.

If you want to make a donation in memory or honor of a loved one, contact the Gonzales County Emergency District 1 (ESD) Board of Directors, either Commie Hisey, Johnnie Hall, Kevin Pirkle or the executive director Eddie Callendar Jr. at 830-672-7675.

In his name, Pastor Jo Ann Leifeste, Retired

Gonzales
